Find and manage tasks

Tasks lists internal and client work across every matter, so you can find what's due and act on it.

  1. 1

    Open Tasks

Go to Work › Tasks. The header shows the open and escalated counts.

  2. 2

    Pick a tab

Choose Internal, Client tasks or Deadlines.

  3. 3

    Narrow the list

Type in the Search tasks box. Then select a chip: All, Mine, Overdue, Blocked, Watching or High priority.

  4. 4

    Add or escalate

Select New task to create one, or Escalate overdue to escalate late work.

Screen by screen

Each frame comes from the walkthrough, with the part being explained outlined. Select a frame to play from that moment.

  1. 02Header counts

The breadcrumb reads Work, then Tasks, with counts showing 0 open and 0 escalated.

  2. 03Three tabs

Three tabs sit below: Internal, which is selected, then Client tasks and Deadlines.

  3. 04Description

The description notes that every queue filters by owner, office, program, priority and date.

  4. 05Search

To find a task, type a short query in the Search tasks box.

  5. 06Filter chips

Then narrow the list with chips: All, Mine, Overdue, Blocked, Watching and High priority. Office, program and date filters are not among these chips.

  6. 07Empty state

Right now the list shows No open tasks. Once tasks exist, each appears with its owner and due date.

  7. 08Good to know

Reassigning a task keeps its history and notifies the new owner, and completing one cancels its pending reminders.

  8. 09Buttons

The Escalate overdue and New task buttons sit at the top right.

  9. 10Recap

So: check the counts, switch tabs, search tasks, filter with chips, and use New task. Next: Deadlines.
